BSc (Business Information Systems)

School of Computer Science offers three year degree course which consits of six semister. Subjects for each semister with course code given below:

Computer industry requires variety of computing skills. University offers 13 certificate programmes catering to various demands of the computing industry. Select programmes as per your requirements.
Flexible course options for BSc(BIS) degree
 
Students can obtain BSc(BIS) degree by successfully completing 18 computer courses and 1 project. The project and the 9 courses are compulsory but students have great flexibility in selecting any 9 courses from the group of elective courses provided by the university.

Fees of BSc(BIS) programme and Fees in installments
 
The total fees of the degree programme depends on the courses selected by the students. The students are allowed to register courses at every quarter of the year. Hence, student has 9 installments to pay fees for the degree programme.
Credit Accumulation and Transfer Scheme
 

As student keeps on studying certificate programmes one by one, his credit points in the credit bank shall accumulate. With specific combination and certain amount of credit point accumulation, he can get a diploma or a degree. Accumulation of Credit Points is useful for Credit Transfer and vertical mobility.
Online Registration and Examination and Instant Result
 
To avoid waiting time of standing in queues, now students can enroll their programmes online. The online examination enables students to get their result and provisional certificates instantly. The regular certificates of successful students are issued by the universities in due course of time.

Video based lectures offered at study centre create classroom like environment for the students. The pre-recorded videos by the computer experts ensure uniform, consistent and quality education at all YCMOU study centres.
eLearning for studying anywhere, anytime
 
Research has proved that multimedia based learning provides better retention and transfer of knowledge. The school of computer science has developed multimedia content which engages multiple senses of the learner and results in effective knowledge and skills gain. The contents are delivered through the Internet as well as CD-ROMs. Learner Management System hosted on computers at study centres enables students to select eLearning content suitable to their pace and style of learning.

Real Time Learning through Satellite based Virtual Classrooms
 
In collaboration with the Indian Space Research Organization(ISRO), the university has established a state wide network of 100 Virtual Learning Centres(VLC) also called Virtual Classrooms. The resource persons recognized at the national and level are called to deliver lectures at the studio located in the premises of the university. The audio/video lectures of these resource persons are up-linked to the EDUSAT , a specially designed satellite for education, from where the signal is down-linked to the Virtual Learning Centres. The audio/video lectures received via satellite are displayed using LCD projectors on the big screen for the benefit of the learners present at the VLC.

Relevant, Flexible and Affordable programmes
 
The programmes have been designed according to the demands of computing skills required in industry and other business houses. Moreover, the syllabi of the computer programmes are continuously updated to keep them relevant and useful.
Students can select courses as per their needs and interest from the wide variety of courses offered by the university. Even the timings are flexible. Morning or evening sessions can be organized according to the mutual convenience of students and faculty.
The fees of the programmes have been kept very moderate so as to make them available across all strata of the society.
Dual degree scheme
  Students studying degree programmes of other university can also join BSc(BIS) programme as this university allows simultaneous registration to two degrees.
